Imphal, March 25 2018:
An SE-in-charge of MANIDCO has been accused of threatening to kill a contractor at a work site at Imphal Airport, Changangei yesterday, following a verbal argument between the two individuals.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, the alleged victim who identified himself as one Khomdram Chinglemba Singh s/o Kh Ibomcha of Monshangei Makha Leikai, Imphal West claimed that he received the death threat from the SE yesterday at around 4 pm.
He asserted that he was at his worksite at Imphal Airport in connection with a contract work from MANIDCO at the time.
Claiming that he himself is a registered contractor in the cooperation (MANIDCO) bearing registration number MANIDCO/IDC/CE/2/2016, Chinglemba said that the SE along with some of his colleagues came for inspection to the worksite.
An argument soon broke out between Inaobi and the SE regarding the performance of the contract work and the former individual drew out a small firearm and threatened to kill the latter (victim) .
Informing that some portions of his contract work at Imphal Airport are still incomplete, Chinglemba alleged that the pending work was hindered by the SE's failure to provide necessary drawing chart of the portions which needed completion.
Chinglemba then appealed the Government and authorities concerned to take up befitting action against the SE.
He added that he had also filed a complaint to Singjamei PS requesting to register an FIR against the SE-in-charge so as to take up necessary action.
