Imphal, March 25 2018:
In another case of abusive gun culture in the state, a registered contractor of MANIDO has been threaten at gun point by an Executive Engineer identified as K Inaobi Singh, SE-in-charge MANIDCO on March 24, 2018 at around 6 pm at their construction site at Imphal Airport.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, Khomdram Chinglemba Singh, registered contractor of MANIDO, said that on the evening of March 24, 2018, while he along with his partner Ch Tompishak along with some other workers were at their work site (construction site) at Imphal Airport, K Inaobi Singh, Executive Engineer, SE-in-charge MANIDCO informed them he will be arriving at the site to inspect how much the work have been executed.
Unfortunately, there was a verbal argument between them regarding the work progress and out of nowhere K Inaobi Singh drew out a small arms and began to threaten to shoot him dead, Chinglemba added.
"Who is to be blame, the contractor or the engineer or the one who brags of having an arms in their hand threatening innocents.
Due to the threats, living has become uneasy," asserts Chinglemba.
Khomdram Chinglemba Singh appeals the concern to look into the matter seriously as there's not a single day where no persons are threaten at gun point by those who are having license guns by taking advantages of their small mistakes that can be short out in a very easy way.
