Minister Biswajit attends Luira Phanit

Works Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh today said he will see that the 1.5 km long Link Road of Teinem Village in Ukhrul district is included in the work programme and make sure that the work is started by first week of April.
The Minister said this while attending Luira Phanit- seed sowing festival at the village today.
He assured to look into the demand of the village authority to black top the road connecting the village to Tolloi junction via Makuikong and ensured that the work to improve the Link Road between LM Sub-division to Ukhrul Headquarters would be started by first week of April.
In response to another appeal for an IVR black topped link road from Teinem Village office to Harvatung via Makuikong, the Minister said he will look to it that the work is included in the approved programme and start work by April second or third week.
The Minister highlighted several Government schemes including Saubhagya, UJALA, PMAY(G), MNREGS, etc during the event.
The State has set a target to provide electricity to all households of the State by December 2018, he said.
The second day of the festival witnessed several cultural items- dances and songs.
