Babysana JAC questions Govt

Condemning the failure of the State Government to solve the case of Ningthoujam Babysana, the JAC against the murder of Ningthoujam Babysana Chanu, has alleged that instead the Government is laying the blame on the JAC and the family members of the deceased.
A statement issued by the convenor in-charge of the JAC today cautioned that if Chief Minister N Biren Singh fails to give an assurance to solve the case at the earliest, the JAC will approach the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister.
It conveyed that it is the wish of the JAC and the people to know the truth behind the case and if the State Government is unable to give any acceptable conclusion, then it should apply all the needed pressure to get CBI probe the case for quick justice.
Expressing concern that all of the past protests and movements will be for nothing if the present situation continues further, the JAC claimed that till date, the authorities concerned have not clarified as to whether the five individuals arrested in connection with the case are involved in the death of Babysana or not.
The JAC clarified that it has been a long time since the Chief Minister met the JAC and till date no invitation or request for any meeting has also been sent to the JAC.
It then lamented that the health condition of the arrested JAC co-convenor, Leishangthem Pratap, has deteriorated due to his hunger strike inside jail but till date, the authorities have not shifted him to a hospital for treatment.
On the other hand, the JAC expressed gratitude to all those who came out in support of the first day of the 48 hours all Manipur bandh called by it .
