Imphal, October 31 2017:
In an obvious reference to the call of the Congress to convene a special session of the State Assembly and reiterate the stand of the State Government to protect the territorial integrity of Manipur, Chief Minister N Biren today asserted that there is no need to convene a special session right now and added that the stand of the State Government on the matter is very clear .
The Chief Minister said this while addressing the National Unity Day .
Asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi too had committed that the territorial integrity of the State will not be affected, the Chief Minister said that members of the NPF were present at the all political parties meet .
The State Government will consider the special session call of the Opposition when either the time or situation demands for a special Assembly session, he added.
