JNIMS comes out with flying colour

The Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal has come out with flying colours in the recently held first professional MBBS Examination, 2012, which was conducted under Manipur University.
JNIMS, which is the only medical institute under the State government almost swept all the ranks from first to ten in the examination with six students getting honours subject in different streams while Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) secured the fourth and tenth positions.
JNIMS's Ingudam Mahendra Singh clinched the overall topper in the examination which he also got honours in anatomy and distinction in physiology.
Earlier, in the first session examination which was held in 2010-2011, Neha Aggrawal had secured third position in overall subjects by getting the highest marks in physiology conducted by the University.
This is the second time that the Institute is appearing in the examination since its establishment.
Acknowledging the turnout results, officials of JNIMS expressed happiness on the performances of their students.
Hoping for better excellence in future, the JNIMS officials also expressed its desires to upgrade various super speciality subjects saying that the staff and doctors of the Institute are striving hard for the poor patients and people of the state.
