Thangso Baite preaches unity

MP Thangso Baite has encouraged all the people to leave aside communal differences and strive to bring peace and development in the State.
He was speaking at the inauguration function of a public ground at Chepu Yaolen village today.
Attending as chief guest, Outer Manipur MP Thangso Baite said Chepu Yaolen villagers have worked hard to have the public ground.
The youth can utilise the public ground for sports and such other activities, he added.
He also urged the villagers to take up other developmental works for beautification of the village.
The villagers should work together to conserve forest by planting more trees in the hills, he stated.
On recurrent bandhs and blockades in hill areas, the MP said most problems can be sorted out through dialogue.
Bandhs and blockades not only affect normal life but it has a huge impact on the State's socio-economic condition.
The people should opt for a more peaceful way to settle dissents, he stated.
On the occasion, Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) general secretary Seiboi Haokip urged the State Government to upgrade the Aided Lower Primary School at Chepu Yaolen village to primary level.
