The Joint Students body of RNSOM, LNKR, AISU and ZSOM conducted on the spot inspection of Tamenglong district bordering Jiribam, said RNSOM in a statement.
The student body surveyed Khedagar Khasia village, Phaitol and Tatbung, including Kamranga Khasia of Tousem subdivision, Tamenglong district on January 16 and 17 .
Despite some unfounded and baseless claims from some organisation of Jiribam, the joint student's body found no room for confusion or dispute that requires settlement on the district boundary, it added.
The natural landscape is proof that all parts of Khedagar Khasia, Phaitol, Tatbung, Kamranga Khasia belong to Tousem subdivision, Tamenglong district and Nungkhong river is the living testimonial boundary of both Tamenglong and Jiribam district The Joint student body observed during the inspection that the minority community of Tamenglong district near Jiribam border were threatened, mentally harassed, verbally abused by the majority community of Jiribam and Bengali speaking non-Manipuris.

Bengali speaking non-Manipuris who encroached inside Tamenglong district were issued Voter card of Jiribam by the district administration, it alleged.
All these are misuse of power and authority by district heads of Jiribam and intentionally silenced by the State Government bypassing the law and ancestral rights of hill people, it added.

The joint student body further urged the Chief Minister to look into the fraudulent and fabricated issue of Jiribam Voter ID to the non-Manipuris and encroachers of Tamenglong district.
