Jiribam, December 15 2011:
438 goods laden vehicles have left Jiribam for Imphal along the NH 37 today.
Escorted by personnel of MR, the vehicles included 112 trucks of FCI rice, eight trucks of medicines, eight trucks of wheat, four diesel tankers, three petrol tankers, one LPG bullet and others which carried essential commodities.
Meanwhile, hundreds of vehicles are being stranded nearby Makru bridge, around 190 Kms from Imphal, along NH 37 due to the snapped iron ropes of the said bridge.
Labourers of 765 BRTF are working on war footing to repair the Makru bridge.
