RPF claims hand

The proscribed RPF has claimed its hands in the Kasung attack against 17 Assam Rifles on June 15 as well as against 12 Assam Rifles at Khudengthabi on June 3 .
A press release issued by the outfit's assistant secretary publicity Bangkim said that the bomb attack that took place between Kasung and Bungdung villages of Kamjong district at around 10.30 am yesterday which left one AR man dead and many others injured was carried out by a special team of the outfit's armed wing PLA.
The attack was carried out following reports of repeated harassment of local villagers by personnel of 17 AR led by post commander Maj Ajit.
AR troops are involved in many clandestine activities which took place in the State including the killing of a woman labourer at Moreh on May 22, it alleged.
After people came to know that the innocent woman was killed by Assam Rifles using mercenaries, they started unleashing all kinds of repressive measures upon the denizens of Moreh.
They (AR) have been using cadres of UG groups under SoO and ceasefire pacts to carry out clandestine killings and other repressive activities.
Moreover, Assam Rifles have started, carrying out violent activities across the international border.
Reiterating that the PLA would continue its struggle against the Indian military forces until the sovereignty of Manipur is restored, it conveyed that the PLA's Chief of Army Staff have lauded the PLA cadres who carried out the attack and all those who provided support.
