Killing of scribe decried

Various organisations have strongly condemned the killing of Thangjam Dwijamani alias Nanao while on duty in police firing.
Taking serious note of the incident, All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) said that the Manipur police personnel have violated the international law with the intentional killing of a journalist on duty.
On the otherhand AMSU pointed out that people cutting accross all communities must put in effort to bring the culprit of Chandel incident to justice.
Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist), Coalition Against Drug Abuse and Alcohol (CADA), Sargam, All Manipur Apunba Matam Ishei Kanglup (AMMIK), Stringers Welfare Association, DD News, All Manipur NGOs Forum, Meira Paibi Welfare Association Kangleipak (MEPWAK), Cachhar Road Athletic Union, Cultural Preservation Centre, United Muslims Council Manipur (India), All India Rural Women's Upliftment Association, Manipur, Wangoi Thoudam Leikai Youths' Development Association, Social Democratic Party of India, Oinam Meira Paibi Lup, All Manipur Arts and Culture Students' Union, Popular Youth Club, also condemned the killing of Dwijamani.
The bodies also demanded for befitting punishment to the involved police personnel.
