Speaking to media persons during a press meet held at Manipur Press Club today, Yunus Ahmed, secretary of Kairang Khomidok Khabeisoi Youth Association said that it is unfortunate that some locals of Kairang Khomidok under Heingang Assembly Constituency have forcefully constructed anganwadi centre in KAKSA ground which is located on the river bank against the pertaining Government's order that prohibits construction of any structure on river banks.
MLA of Khurai A/C Leishangthem Susindro, Heingang Police and authorities concerned also prohibited construction of structures on river banks and Police have seized tools and machines used in the construction process before, he added.
Stating that KAKSA ground is a playground for the youths and children striving for a healthy society therefore he appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene at the earliest and evict such structures.
