Imphal, August 11, 2013:
Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress Committee has questioned how the O Ibobi led Congress Government, which can't even ensure security to its own leader, will protect the life and wealth of the people of Manipur.
In a statement, Trinamool Congress said that Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam had admitted that there were security lapses in Saturday's blast at the gate of the Chief Minister's official residence.

Expressing concern over the media report on inclusion of written test failed candidates in the selection list and waiting list of the recently declared results of recruitment of SI/Jemadar, Trinamool Congress demanded that Home Minister and DGP be stepped down from their respective posts taking moral responsibility of the irregularity.
Saying that peace can't be restored without development, the press statement said that it is not possible to run industries by providing electricity for just four-five hours a day.
Decrying distribution of fertilizers through MLAs, the party questioned whether the workers and farmers who voted against the incumbent MLAs do not have the right to get fertilizers.
Regarding border pillar standoff along Indo-Myanmar border, the press statement said that party chief Mamta Banerjee had assured the State party President to pressure the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister in this regard.
The party is set to launch agitation in association with like minded political parties in this connection, the press statement added.
