Birendrajit Naorem on his literary journey

An interactive session with Birendrajit Naorem, Sahitya Academy Awardee, was held at the residence of Irungbam Basanta, Wang-khei Khunou on Friday.
Expressing gratitude, Biren-drajit said "it's a privilege that such an interactive session is being organized by Patriotic Writer's Forum (PWF), Manipur" to discuss his works.
"My journey of writing started when I was in class VI.
During those early days, I used to write love letters for my friends.
From those moments, literary expression bloomed in my thoughts which formed the basis of my literary works", the author said.
As an advice to the younger generation, Birendrajit said writing is a lifelong profession and every events in life are the sources of literary works.

The session was organized as a part of the foundation day celebration of Patriotic Writer's Forum (PWF), Manipur.
It's session was chaired by Raghu Leishangthem, Vice President, PWF and Aribam Kumar Sharma, Sahitya Academy Translation Awardee as the Chief Guest.
In his presidential speech, Raghu said the initiative of the forum was to organize such interactive sessions with writers and authors.
"Our endeavour should be focused on finding young writers and providing the much needed impetus to literary talents", Raghu said.
Early in the day, a documentary film 'Maithong Yamba Doctor', directed by RK Inanaranran was screened at Lamyanba Shanglen.
The film was based on the life history of Dr Jodhachandra Sanasam.
