Everybody in the convention condemned the imposition of Armed Forces Special Powers Act - 1958 in Manipur and demanded immediate lifting of the said draconian act from our motherland.
All the participants in the convention, paid homage to the victims of Armed Forces Special Powers Act, notably (late) Th.Manorama by standing silently for a minute.
In the convention participants performed a signature campaigned and donated from their hearts.
The total donation amount collected was Rs.5930/-.The Manipuri Meitei Association, Bangalore took the responsibility to make available the said amount to the two relief camps (at J.N Hospital and RIMS Hospital) in Manipur.
It was resolved in the convention that, if any other individuals, who are absent in the convention, wanted to donate and join the signature campaign, MMAB will extend help to make it happen.
It was also resolved that, MMAB will support all the activities related to the agitation for revoking Armed Forces Special Powers Act - 1958 from Manipur.
