Imphal, April 28 2013:
The Naga Peoples Front (NPF), Manipur State unit has indefinitely postponed its proposed political awareness campaign of April 30 in Tamenglong district headquarters.
However, the dates for other districts have not been changed.
According to Athuan Abonmai, the Tamenglong programme has been postponed due to the bandh along the national highways called by the Zeliangrong organisations on the Alice Kamei issue.
Meanwhile, the NPF, Manipur State unit has appealed the group responsible for the detaining of school girl Alice Kamei to consider the matter on humanitarian ground.
The NPF also said the concerned authorities should address the matter at the earliest before things jump out of gear.
