Imphal, March 23 2013 :
Accusing the incumbent Managing Director (MD) of Central Diary Plant Sapam Shantikumar as an 'incompetent' official who ruins the management of the diary plant located Porompat in Imphal East, Secretary of Central Diary Plant Employees' Association Th Achou has warned that if the sitting MD was to be retained then the entire members of the Association would resign en masse.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, Achou alleged that under the supervision of Shantikumar functioning of the diary plant has almost become non-operational and with his divide and rule policy has created enmity among the workers.
Further he went on to point out that till today the incumbent MD has never done any field visit nor enquired the farmers about their activities and requirements.
Moreover, instead of ensuring availability of sealed and certified milks to all the booths at Rs 33/L, the incumbent MD is making efforts to sell it at a higher rate in black markets.
Because of all these reasons, none of the Association member wants him to be the MD of the diary plant.
