Ningol Chakkouba held at Kumbi

Kumbi Kendra Committee organised a programme titled "1st Ningol Chak-Kouba" and hosted grand feast for several women of the kendra at Ebudhou Eshing Chaibi Community Ground, Kumbi.
The programme was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar, Health Minister L Jayentakumar Singh, Fisheries Minister N Kayishii, social worker Nongthombam Hemanta and President NPP Kumbi Kendra Development Committee H Biramangol as presidium members along with over 1000 women (Ningols) from different localities (leikai) of Kumbi.
Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister, L Jayentakumar spoke about the importance of nurturing and guiding the young children in right direction as it will help create better society in the future.

Saying that every District Hospitals in the State have facilities to conduct 53 different tests, the Minister added that the patient families need not to worry about travelling to distant places for treatment anymore.
He also maintained that the State Government will consider about upgrading primary health centre Kumbi at the level of Health and Wellness Centre for the welfare of the local people.
Deputy CM, Y Joykumar in his speech assured the gathering that possible assistance will be extended from his side to establish one Fire Brigade Sub station at Kumbi.
