AHTA lauds Ukhrul AC MLA

All Hunphun Tangs Association (AHTA) expressed their appreciation to the local MLA Alfred Arthur Kanngam for his prompt response in arranging additional oxygen concentrators for the district to ease the fear among the people of Ukhrul over the shortage of oxygen for emergency treatment of COVID-19 positive cases.
Chonmi Raleng, president of AHTA stated that the MLA had earlier instituted a separate local COVID-19 Awareness cum Enforcement committee in every localities of Ukhrul District Headquarters to combat the dreaded COVID-19 in the district.
It may be mentioned that Alfred Arthur personally monitored and coordinated with the District Administration, Police Department, NGOs, CSOs and local populace of Ukhrul to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection in the district.
The local enforcement committees were set up to extend support to the District Administration and Police Department for smooth execution of Covid SOPs in the town and to avail sufficient volunteers in the time of emergency.
Chonmi Raleng mentioned that the MLA also provided financial assistance to more than 28 localities in Ukhrul town.
The MLA had also contributed 15 Oxygen Concentrators to aid the treatment of COVID-19 patients of Ukhrul district.
Deputy Commissioner Ukhrul, Joseph Pauline Kamson handed over the oxygen concentrators to Chief Medical Oxygen, Ukhrul in the presence of Medical Superintendent, Dr Reisangmi and Dr Yurthingla.
4 Oxygen Concentrators were given to Ukhrul District Hospital, 4 to Covid Care Centres, and one each to 7 Primary Health Centre of Somdal, Talui, Teinem, Lambui, Khangkhui, Chingai and Jessami.
