Various cultural perfor-mances at Senapati and Keithelmanbi of Kangpokpi on the second day of the ongoing 'Discover North East: Manipur' enthralled hundreds of people on Friday.

On Friday, D Vashum, the Deputy Director NEZCC, said India is a multicultural country with different communities having their own traditions and culture.
Time has come to under-stand and respect the different cultural traditions, he said.
Respecting one's own culture and showing disrespect to cultures of other communities should be avoided, Vashum cautioned.
He said it is indeed fortunate that different communities are staging their art forms, traditions and cultures on a platform.
"It is high time, we understand the different cultures and this unders-tanding should be the basis of national integration, Vashum added.
