Imphal, April 05 2021:
The Rongmei Naga Students' Organisation Manipur (RNSOM) has advised the All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) not to create undesirable activities in Tamenglong and Noney districts without their consent.
In a statement, RNSOM asserted that it would be more mature for ATSUM to retract their present stand and consider endorsing the demand of DCCADCs in the greater interest of all.
Saying that RNSOM welcomes the Cabinet decision of March 27 last which decided to conduct ADC election for the 4 new districts (Noney, Kamjong, Tengnoupal and Pherzawl) too and also endorse the 'legitimate' demand of DCCADCs, the Naga student organisation appealed to the State Government to expedite the process of conducting the ADC election in 10 hill districts.
The statement also asserted that they will not be responsible for any untoward incident in the course of ATSUM's agitation.
