Positive cases rise by five

Imphal, April 05 2021:
The cumulative number of COVID-19 positive cases in the State has increased by five to 29,428 (general population 25,982 and Central security personnel 3,446) during the last 24 hours.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, the cumulative number of positive cases is inclusive of 57 active cases (general population 51 and Central security personnel 6) and 28,997 recovered cases (general population 25,561 and Central security personnel 3,436) .
Five persons belonging to Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Tamenglong and Tengnoupal were tested positive at Shija Hospital, Mother's Care Hospital, Tamenglong and Babina Diagnostics.
On the other hand, nine COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from CAPF (2), home isolation (6) and Shija Hospital (1) .
The State posted a recovery rate of 98.53 per cent on Monday while the death toll remains unchanged at 374 as there was no report of COVID related death during the last 24 hours.
Air passengers who came to the State on April 2 by Indigo flight 6E-6181 in rows 4 to 10 have been informed to report to the COVID-19 Common Control Room on 18003453818 or respective District Surveillance Officers.
Meanwhile, 78 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 yesterday, taking the total number of vaccination in the State to 87,719 .
This figure is inclusive of 31,694 health care workers.
