Imphal, December 03 2020:
The Federation of Haomee has strongly condemned the stand of Committee on Protection and Preservation of Mount Koubru (CPP), a Kuki organisation, that they will not allow construction of any Temple, Church or Mosque on Mount Koubru, In a statement Haomee said that CPP has no right to obstruct the construction of a temple at Mount Koubru and added that the construction of a temple dedicated to an indigenous God is the right of the original inhabitants of the land.
The statement added that it is the right time for the Government to teach the true history and origin of the people of the land to CPP.
Yazing Vicisy, secretary general of Haomee asked CPP to think about what will happen if they obstruct construction of Hindu temples at Amarnath or Vrindavan.
The federation welcomed the Government order of November 6 to declare three sacred sites of Koubru, Thangjing and Marjing as protected areas under the Manipur Ancient and Historical Monument and Archaeological Remains Act of 1976 and said they will join the fight against anyone who obstruct such a step taken by the Government.
