A team of 40 participants from Bihar reached Imphal on June 9 to take part in various cultural exchange programmes in the State sponsored by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
The inaugural function was held yesterday at Dharmasala with MP Dr T Meinya and social worker Amrik Singh Pahwa as chief guest and president respectively.
The team will visit various tourist destinations of the State on June 11, while cultural exchange programmes will be conducted at some of the localities of the State from June 12 to 14.The team will be staying in 40 different homes at different villages to share and exchange the culture, habit and living style of Manipur from June 15 to 17.The same number of State participants also left for Karnataka on June 5 for similar programme.
