As a part of Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, National Small Industry Corporation Limited (NSIC), Sub Branch Office, Imphal, today conducted a cleanliness drive on the theme, "Garbage Free India" at Takyel Industrial Estate.
Speaking to the media, NSIC, Designation Development Officer in-charge, Achoubam Subhachandra shared that the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign is being celebrated from September 15 to October 2 this year by organising mega shramdaan activities as part of the 'Ek Tarikh Ek Ghanta ek Sath' initiative Expressing concern over the present unrest, he appealed to the State and central Government to take necessary steps to restore peace & normalcy in Manipur .

Moreover, to promote Swachhata Pakhwada, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Imphal, Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Imphal, Lamphelpat and 86 Bn CRPF Lamphelpat, Imphal under the aegis of IG M&N Sector, CRPF today jointly organised a cleanliness drive at Sanakeithel, Lamphelpat, Imphal West district.
In a release, NYK Imphal informed that the cleanliness drive was carried out with the enthusiastic support of 91 RAF, teachers & students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, ICAR, Police Department, clubs and local populace to make the area neat and clean.
During the drive, garbage vulnerable places & high footfall areas in and around Sanakeithel were cleaned and disposed of.
The Department of MAHUD, Government of Manipur today organised an 'Ek-Tareek, Ek-Ghanta' campaign in and around Imphal City from 10 am to 11 am.
As part of Swachhata Hi Seva campaign taken up by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, Department of MAHUD, Government of Manipur in coordination with officials and staff of Imphal Municipal Corporation conducted the mass cleanliness drive at BT Park, Imphal main market and its adjoining areas.
Director MAHUD, Sharath Chandra Arroju and Karam Bono Singh, Joint Secretary, MAHUD also took part in the cleanliness drive.
All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA) along with Judicial officers, Ld.
Advocates and staff of the District Courts, Imphal East & West, celebrated the SHS campaign by organising a social service programme in the complex of Cheirap Court, Uripok, Imphal on Sunday.
RK Memcha Devi, District & Sessions Judge, Imphal West; W Tonen Meitei, District & Sessions Judge, Imphal East; Salam Imocha Singh, Judge, Fast Track Special Court No 1; Monalisa Maibam, Special Judge, ND & PSA (FTC); Puyam Tomcha Meitei, president AMBA; Bineshwori Maibam, CJM, Imphal West; Johny Meitei, general secretary AMBA; office bearers of AMBA; AO of District & Sessions Court, Imphal East; and security personnel of the District Courts took part in the social service programme.
The programme was focused on the suggested activities to be performed under SHS Campaign namely implementation of 2-Bin system, reuse, recycle, eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastics and zero waste events, etc.
Moreover, Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director RIMS, Imphal today launched a sanitation campaign "Swachhata Hi Seva" which will be observed from October 2 to October 31, 2023 in RIMS & RIMS Hospital, Imphal campus.
As part of the event, a cleanliness drive starting from Paediatric Emergency Gate to IMA Gate, Manipur was also conducted in association with Uripok Apunba Lup, Imphal.
The programme was attended by Prof N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Imphal; S Sarat Singh, CAO/FA, RIMS, Imphal, officials, students and staff of CRED RIMS, Imphal.
