Ngamthang attends Golden jubilee celebration

IFC Minister Ngamthang Haokip today attended the inaugural function of Tumuyon Khullen Youth Club Golden Jubilee celebration with the theme 'Accelerating Youth Empowerment for Sustainable Development' at Brig RS Sirohi playground, Tumuyon Khullen.
The Minister in his speech, after hoisting the union's flag and unveiling the jubilee monolith, said that youth should adapt to the most pressing challenges.
Encouraging the gathered youth, Ngamthang Haokip said that young people must believe in themselves that they can become a big asset to society, State and Nation.
In a situation where job opportunities are limited, youth job seekers must avoid the habit of pick-and-choose, instead they should learn to accept what is available till they get what they want, added the IFC Minister.

The Minister further said that to ensure the active participation and engagement of young people in the development process, they need support and encouragement by the Government and all stake holders concerned.
The IFC Minister assured financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh in the next financial year to Tumuyon Khullen Youth Club and also pledged to help them in their activities towards the development of the society.
Lenkhomang Chongloi, member of ADC Sadar Hills released the Golden Jubilee souvenir.
In his presidential address James Kelly said that the youth should be empowered so that their voices are heard.
Youth are the hope of the society and the future well being of the society is in the hand of the youth.
They are capable of freeing the society from the bondage of ignorance and backwardness.
Tumuyon Khullen situated in Saitu Assembly Constituency in Senapati district lies 10 kms North of Senapati district Hqtrs along the NH-2 with a population of about 1500 people.
It is the third largest Maram village after Maram Khullen and Willong.
Apart from various CSOs leaders within the district and areas, Church leaders, chiefs and youth club leaders extended greetings on the occasion and presented gifts to the organisers.
Guru Rewben Mashangva, a National awardee and Ringo Golmei also attended the celebration as the Jubilee Band and enthralled the crowd with their soul-soothing numbers.
The celebration will come to its end tomorrow with cultural regale.
