NPO hails JLF resolution on Naga peace process

Senapati, July 24 2012: Naga People's Organisation (NPO) has hailed the resolution adopted by the Joint Legislators Forum (JLF) of Nagaland legislative Assembly to pave way for an Alternative Arrangement and step aside from present position in the event of logical conclusion to the ongoing Naga Peace process.

In a statement, NPO said such significant move will pave way for expediting the much delayed Indo-Naga peace process.

"The NPO unconditionally supports and endorses the declaration of JLF and Political Affairs Committee of the present DAN government under the able and dynamic leadership of Hon'ble CM Neiphiu Rio and his team to open such opportunity to usher a solution to our peace process.

Such move of the present Nagaland Government to cross the line and walk extra mile to work out a collective facilitation to the Naga Peace process is welcoming and appreciable", the statement said.

Sacrificing their personal interest for the greater interest of the Nagas is laudable and historic, it added.
