Government should consider preparation for 'third wave': UFM

United Front Manipur (UFM) lauded the work taken up by Speaker Y Khemchand to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and urged the Government to prepare for the third wave.
In a statement issued today, UFM said Speaker Y Khemchand had taken the initiative and open Community Quarantine Centre at Manipur College for the stranded people brought back from other parts of the country in the wake of the first wave of the pandemic to ensure that all the returnee face no problem during their quarantine period.
Speaker Y Khemchand had advised all the local clubs in Singjamei AC to not organised sports meet during the Yaoshang festival as a preparation for the second wave of the pandemic which was predicted to hit the state, added the statement.
Under his supervision, a Community Home Isolation Centre (CHIC) for Singjamei AC has been opened at Manipur College to cater to the home isolation needs for the locals in light of the ever increasing number of positive cases in the state, added the statement.
Y Khemchand is a visionary leader who keeps an eye out for the long run and prepares for the same well in advance.
UFM added that Delhi under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is already prepping for a third wave which is predicted to hit the nation in coming months.
UFM urged all the representatives, experts, CSOs and stake holders regarding the preparation for a third wave.
