Drugs seized from Myanmarese national

Custom Preventive Force, Moreh seized 3443 numbers of WY (World is Yours) tablets worth Rs 34 lakhs smuggled into Manipur by a Myanmarese national yesterday afternoon, reports our Moreh correspondent.
A team of Custom Preventive Force led by Inspector Angom Dorendro acting on a tip off about smuggling of drugs from Myanmar's Tamu town to Moreh laid an ambush at a lane near Sunrise Youth Club, Moreh Ward No 3. They saw a man coming on the lane from Namphalong side in a suspicious manner.
On checking the bags carried by the man, 3443 WY tablets were found.
The team was acting under the supervision of Superintendent Lalkhoneh Simte.
The arrested man was later identified as one Mg Win Man (46) s/o late U Maw Shew of Tamu Ward No 5. Preliminary investigation revealed that the man was bringing the tablets to an unidentified man who would be waiting for him at Moreh morning market at the instruction of Moungoo of Tamu.
The arrested man has been taken to Imphal by Inspector Dorendro.
