Cabinet okays kits for COVID Care Centre

The State Cabinet has given its consent for purchasing necessary medical equipment and supplies for the COVID Care Centre to be opened at UNACCO School, Meitram.
The Cabinet meeting held in the Chief Minister's Secretariat at 4 pm was chaired by Chief Minister N Biren.
After deliberating on the State's prevailing situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cabinet meeting resolved to purchase necessary medical equipment supplies for the COVID Care Centre.
Moreover, 300 Medical Officers would be appointed as agreed at the Cabinet meeting.
Implementation of Old Age Pension with respect to employees working at JNIMS under the Health Department as per the Manipur Civil services (Pension) Rules 1977 was another decision of the meeting.
The State Cabinet also agreed to raise the training reserve posts of Manipur Health Services and also to amend the Health Services Rules.
It further resolved to create necessary post for full time teachers at DM College of Teachers Education and to make recruitment against the posts to be created.
Appointment of Assistant Professors for Government colleges through MPSC against 190 vacant posts was another resolution of the Cabinet meeting.
