The book tells the writer’s experience in America during her short visit to the USA for 25 days only. While participating in the Global Peace Conference, the writer got the chance to talk to the people of America, to see the important places and the sceneries, to realize the historical, cultural, scientific and technological developments of the USA. The writer tells about the URI (United Religious Initiative) which is a project to bring back peace in the universe. While the writer was at Imphal her sister Shila Devi who is now living and working in New York sent her message to carry the Manipuri dance costume in her visit to America. There is a Hindu temple in New York. During the Krishna Janma festival Shila would like to present the Manipuri dance in the temple. On 15th June, 2000 the writer leaves Kolkata and goes to America by obtaining her seat in the Jordanian Airlines. Realizing the behaviors of the English people the writer reminds what Nirad C Choudhury writes in his book of travelogue entitled "A Passage to England" that the Englishmen are unfriendly people. When the writer reached New York she was staying in Shila's house. Some of the States of America visited by the writer are Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, New Jersey etc. In New York the writer got a chance to view the Catskill Mountain and the Hudson River. While seeing the Hudson River the writer brought forth a poem.
