'Women in North East are financially independent'
Morung Express | PTI | Guwahati, March 4 ():
The women in the Northeast region are “not a neglected lot”, they are financially independent, Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla said here today.
In Manipur, there is a market, where 5000-6000 women work every day to support their families, she said after inaugurating the ‘Emerging North East 2018’ Expo at Shilpgram here. The daylong expo, organised by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), gave farmers, agri-preneurs, entrepreneurs and experts from the food industry from across the Northeast a platform to interact and generate business in the region.
