Who is a prisoner of hope ?
Bienhome Muivah *
Zechariah 9:12: A prisoner of hope is someone who has an attitude of faith and expectancy even when things are bad, because God has promised to restore what was lost and for more.
Why do Christians not succeed in life? Because they do not let go off their past condemnation (they are on the guilt trip). As long as we are chained to our past, we can never go far beyond. Let us remember always that we have a promised landto reach.
Let’s be a prisoner of hope, now and always, if we want to experience break- through in life.
We should be thriving as Christians and not surviving.
Our Lord delights in the prosperity of His children.
Our God is God of specific, so be specific.
If you can change the way you think, you will change the way you live.
We need to expand our territory.
Expectation is a breeding ground for miracles/break-through in life. God wants people with great expectations, success, miracles, and every good things start with expectations.
There is no quick-fix solution in the kingdom of God.
There are promises in God’s Kingdom.
The Kingdom of this world has full of fear.
Expectation is not a New Testament phenomenon (1 King 18)
Samaria was going through a famine, Elijah sent his servant 7 times. Each time the servant brought the negative report. Yet Elijah did not give up. He was having a great expectation from the Lord.
Where do you put your trust on?
Elijah put his trust on the promise of God. Are we living an abundant life or in lack? Let’s not get trap in the past but embrace our glorious future (Jeremiah 29:11)
We can change our future, but cannot change our past. Let’s walk into our future with lots and lots of expectations. We should not live in insufficiency, defeat and disappointment.
If at all we suffer, we should suffer for Jesus. Besides this, there is no suffering worth-suffering. Poverty, sickness, shame, bereavement, discouragement and strife come from the devil. Holy Spirit does not dwell in the negative mind.
So, change your mind-set!!!
