TODAY -
What'll I do
AK Seram *
When I chance stood before a mirror
Aghast I was really
My eyes're missing from the sockets,
And on looking in again
The heart wasn't in its place.
This mysterious – impossible
A man sans heart and eyes, how'll I live?
Whether to weep or to laugh
I know not really.
When everything around's tattering and ugly
Isn't it better to be eyeless?
When the world's full of violence,
Love's frightened
Like a deer running for life,
Isn't it better to be without a heart?
I can't make out anything
Confounded I'm really.
Shall I be glad or sad,
Shall I laugh or weep.
