Warm greetings to all Christian brethren
23rd December 2014
No: 28/BJP-MP/PR&PM/2012:
Warm greetings to all my Christian brethren in Manipur on this Joyous Christmas. Once again, we arrive at Christmas; a season of joy and celebration bringing family, friends and communities together in timeless traditions. On this happy occasion I sincerely wish my Christian communities in Manipur all the best.
Jesus Christ is always described to be the son of God that as per the scripture it is said that “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son”. Once again we are privileged to give and receive gifts, gratitude and acts of kindness in the spirit of love. This wonderful festival amply give us a chance to renew our love and friendship in Manipur.
Jesus’ birth calls us to this spirit of love and sharing because it is at the heart of his life. Throughout his life and especially in his saving death and resurrection, Jesus demonstrated that God’s love is for everyone. “A new commandment I give you,” Jesus taught his disciples and us; “As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
On behalf of the BJP Manipur Pradesh and on my own behalf, I would like to strongly appeal to all irrespective of different religious views, caste, creed and color to be one in spirit and sense of brotherhood be prevailed to one and all. With this in mind, we should march ahead hand in hand basing on the doctrine of Jesus Christ. So that we can work together towards a prosperous Manipur of self-sufficient.
Manipur had been in turmoil over the years. A healing hands towards peace with more understanding objective in mind needs to be instilled. Let this Christmas also bring peace and all live in harmony while upholding the essence of co-existence.
(Th. Chaoba Singh)
