Wari : A collection of stories from the pages of life
Date : June 25 2016
Wari is an evening of storytelling event where five artists will perform and narrate folk stories from different time zones. This is the formal launch of the event in Delhi and there will be new editions in the next few months. The idea is to revive storytelling for all age groups and not have them limited only for children. The idea of Wari has its roots in a dream to bridge the gap between the Northeast and the rest of the country, which remain far apart so long as any cultural and ideological exchange is concerned. Like strangers in the same land.
Wari is an Octave Foundation initiative, an NGO that is working to promote an exchange of art and culture in an attempt to blur the borders.
