Underlining the importance of networking of cooperative organisations for education in the Northeastern region, Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management (ARGUCOM) is going to improve the viability of the cooperative society in the region in collaboration with Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.
ARGUCOM, first of its kind in India, has urged the Assam government to introduce ‘cooperative management’ as a conceptual paper rather than d umping it as a chapter in economics. The strategic architecture of the varsity has been designed by a team of IIM, Ahmedabad. Besides, the first faculty development programme with active association of faculties of IIM, Ahmedabad and MDI, Gurgaon has already started in the city.
