Thoughts random: In times of coronavirus - II

Good morning Manipur,
Friends, so we are in lockdown 2.0.
We are proving/showing our resilience. Much as I wanted tried to put a full stop to my random thoughts, my 'thinking cap ' got the better of my desire...Remember Mark Tully who said "There Is no full stops in India ". So is my 'thinking cap '.
So here we go again... My Lockdown Journey continues humming all the while Bee Gees number " Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me/ Somebody help me, yeah/ Life goin' nowhere, somebody help me, yeah/ I'm staying alive "...

1. The BOSS is NOT ALWAYS Right. But this time round, in times of Covid-19 pandemic, the BOSS IS RIGHT.
2. Washing dirty linens in public domain cannot be considered an acute act of a public figure. Nor can it be considered as political acumen of a politician.
3. Education is NOT simply about getting degrees and certificates from reputed institutions. It is also about RESPECTING THE CHAIR.

#In Times Of Coronavirus (April 14)
1. There is no country in the world not affected by the Corona Pandemic.
2. Amidst the global fight against the disease, some countries are doing comparatively much better in containing the outbreak/flattening the Covid-19 curve. Countries such as Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, New Zealand and Taiwan are setting examples as success stories in the fight against Corona. What is the secret? What is the 'Mantra '? What do these countries have in common?
3. No marks for guessing right. Head of State of these countries are all FEMALE leaders. Does it mean women are better managers, more capable and more humane? Isn't it time that people of the world elect/select more number of women and hand over the administrative reigns in their hands? Is Corona Pandemic a harbinger for a NEW SOCIAL ORDER- a NEW WORLD ORDER- where women will be on top in the political hierarchy.

1. A question that crops up nay ticks my 'thinking cap ' more often than not in the midst of seemingly helplessness of the US of America in the fight against Covid-19 relates to its position as World Supremo. Who rules/dominates the international power game now? Who calls the shot? Will Trump's battle against Corona (he insisted/persisted calling it 'Chinese Virus ') prove to be his WATERLOO in November 2020?
2. Covid-19 is the Power- the New Global Power that decides 'life and death '. From songs to poems to jokes to discourse to meetings to speeches to discussions, corona is everywhere, on the lips of everyone. It is the power that instills FEAR.
3. So 'Fear is key', right Mr Alistair MacLean? The key to death. Right? Wrong. The key to survival. Right? Right.
4. "Nothing to fear but fear itself ", a phrase from the 1933 inaugural address of the 32nd US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) comes into mind in these trying times of lockdown.
#FearCanWait #Fight COVID-19 cannot.

#In Times Of Coronavirus (April 18)
1. The novel Coronavirus is sweeping through the world unabated. No vaccine, no sign yet of the pandemic coming to an end. Terminal or no terminal.
2. Covid-19 has turned our lives, social/physical/mental, upside down. It has revived the age old debate between private and public sectors and questioned the relevancy of liberal democracy.
3. Time was when--late eighties and early nineties-- the (erstwhile)Soviet Union disintegrated , the Cold War ended and the Berlin Wall collapsed/dismantled. Time was when massive socio-economic and political changes/upheavals took place and geographical boundaries/political maps were redrawn. From 'bipolar ' the world (of politics) turned into 'unipolar '.
4. The post Cold War changes led Francis Fukuyama, among many others, to argue for " The End Of History And The Last Man " , only to be countered by his (former) teacher Samuel P Huntington whose "The Clash of Civilizations And The Remaking of World Order " is considered/described "...one of the most important books to have emerged since the end of the Cold War " by no less a person than Henry A Kissinger.
5. Does Covid-19 signal the end of history or/and lead to more clashes between civilizations?
6. What if the Novel Coronavirus is the beginning of ASIAN DOMINANCE in the world???
