The Eternal Moment
*
All my children
All my dreams
For ages and ages...
Dawn appears on the horizon
And smiles her thanks.
O my love!
The blind
Looking for the light in the dark,
Not knowing
The light is within the heart
That smiles a contented smile.
Today I am no longer deaf
And hard of hearing,
Today I enjoy the love song
Of petty family squabbles.
O my love!
Femme fatale you are not
But a mother
A nadir of the Creation.
Enjoy the world, I said.
Now I know
Travelling is a fool's paradise.
The image of the man
In the blue water of the swimming pool
And also in the mirror in the morning,
The symmetrical pattern
With the living touch of an unknown hand,
A reality that subsists beyond me!
How dare you
Disturb the balance?
Destroy the symmetry?
