Tech-driven MSME Solutions for Sustainable Food Security

The world's population is projected to hit 9 billion by 2050, and with this growth comes the need to ensure that everyone has access to sufficient and nutritious food. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) solutions in the packaged food industry play a crucial role in achieving this goal.

These businesses are often the backbone of local economies and provide much-needed employment opportunities, particularly in rural areas. However, many MSMEs struggle to compete with larger companies due to limited resources, including capital, technology, and skills.

This is where Nibiaa Devices comes in. The company aims to help MSMEs in the packaged food industry by providing them with technology solutions that can improve their processes and make them more competitive. One of the key areas of focus for Nibiaa Devices is sustainable food security. By developing and implementing technologies that promote sustainable food production and distribution, Nibiaa Devices hopes to contribute to the global effort to address food insecurity.

Note : The author is co-founder of Nibiaa devices, Imphal, Manipur. He has over 10 years of work experience in the USA as an enterprise performance management consultant and has done multiple projects in various prestigious Silicon Valley firms like Google’s Inc, E-Bay.Inc, Citrix, Warner Bros to name a few.

He has also provided consultancy services in various industries such as pharmacy, mining, oil and gas, media and entertainment industry, helping clients to solve their business planning updating forecasting business. He also helped to organise startup weekend in Imphal (26th to 28th of May 2017) at the office of Nibiaa Devices.

Startup weekend is a subsidiary of Techstars global accelerator program based in Denver, Colorado that promotes 54 hours events around the world where developers, designers, marketers, startup enthusiasts, etc come together to share ideas, home teams building skills and create new businesses. The author was selected for a workshop in Bangkok (2018 - 2019) by tech start startup weekend for its exceptional work in promoting entrepreneurship and startup culture in Manipur. Nibiaa Devices along with Manipur University have trained more than 300 plus startups who were selected on the first phase of Manipur startup scheme, 2018.
