Talks sans roadmap caused problems Ex-IB official

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has always been opposing the open door policy adopted by the Government of India on the issue of talks with the militant groups and the Bureau, on several occasions, felt that the Government started talks with ultra groups without any roadmap, which created problems and did not lead to restoration of peace.
Talking to The Assam Tribune today, former Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau, RV Ravi said that on several other issues like extension of the term of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act in Assam etc., the recommendations of the Bureau were overlooked by the Government.
