appeals public to not be misguided
Motbung, 4th June, 2020
Apropos to the news item “KSO scans conditions of 7 IQCs, 4 CQCs” published in various leading state newspapers on 4th June, 2020, the Thadou Students’ Association (TSA) would like to clarify and made a strong rebuttal as stated below:-
1. That, TSA strongly refuted those allegations of KSO stating that the assignment of Food Arrangements for seven (7) Institutional Quarantine Centre (IQC) is totally false and unwarranted. Clarification can be sought from the district administration.
2. That, volunteers of TSA and Motbung Women Union (MWU) has been tirelessly helping the food taking & professional cook (Bamon) arranged by the District Administration at Baptist English High School, Motbung since 1st June, 2020 after centralization of catering for 7 IQCs in vicinity of Motbung Village. Therefore, Menu & Food quantity supplied to inmates is not related to the TSA/MWU.
3. That, upon inquiry, regarding Damdei Christian College IQC, it was found that Shri Ngamthang Haokip, Hon’ble MLA, Saitu AC has strongly objected the centralization of catering for 7 IQCs.
4. That, the TSA-GHQ in the absence of TSA-SH has been categorically assisting the Kangpokpi District Administration during this pandemic and will continue to endure them in all possible ways in combating nCovid-19 pandemic in the district.
5. Lastly, TSA would like to advice KSO that without verifying the authenticity of the report, one should not issue such press statement hereafter in the future. And, the general public is also advisable not to be misguided by such false claim/report prepared by the KSO and appeals everyone to understand the genuineness of TSA’s contribution in combating this pandemic.
