"TELANG-GAA" to fly on 'Festival of Cinma Manipur'
April 12, 2016:
Just like a kite rising against the wind, Idiotsage's second official production "Telang-gaa" (Which also means 'Kite'), has risen against all expectations and is flying across the screens of film festivals around the country.
"Telang-gaa" was screened today at the Festival of Cinma Manipur 2016, a film festival providing a platform to the filmmakers from North-East India. The 3.31 minutes film has been screened in Imphal International Short film Festival 2016, in Maharashtra International Short Film Festivals 2016 and, in FullOn Student Film and Video Festival at MS University, Baroda.
The film showcases the spirit of believers through a landscape we all could relate to. "It is a satirical take on the society where we live in," says Jackson Meisnam, the producer of the film. "Overall, our intentions were to spread a positive energy among us," he adds.
Babina Chabungbam, the Director of "Telang-gaa" expresses that the film is "to remind people that happiness is making ordinary extraordinary and beauty is nothing but the simplicity."
Brainchild of Jackson Meisnam and Babina Chabungbam, "Telang-gaa" does not have any professional actors in it but local boys doing more or less what they usually do, giving more meaning to the story-line and making it all the more real.
