Stop bullying young talents

Cyber bullying discouraging the talents of youths is not a sign of civilize society.

Recently, in an interview with talented people at IMPACT –TV, a local cable television service a young girl, who was picked up for her par excellent in writing song lyrics was bullied in social media.

The young girl unable to bear the humiliation finally ran away from home and was reportedly married to someone.

Just because she said that she had learned English grammar when she was in KG 1, people started humiliating and discouraging her by bullying at Social networking sites.

Another talented girl who is presently working as a cabin crew was also bullied by many uncivilized people just because she said that she started writing a story when she was in class 1.

The interview was broadcasted at IMPACT TV in early 2018, after she was crowned Miss Manipur in 2017.

Peoples of our state seem to have forgotten that there are highly talented children across the world and Manipur is no exception.

It should have been the pride of the society if someone like the two who started learning grammar or writing stories or even singers are born in our society.

If one reads about exceptional people across the world there are people like the two girls who had extraordinary talents.

Well nobody bullied when a four-year-old boy, Ayan Gogoi Gohain hailing from Assam’s North Lakhimpur, was announced as the ‘Youngest Author of India’.

The wonder kid from Assam has managed to pen a book titled ‘Honeycomb’ when he was 4 years old.

Austrian composer Johann Chrysostom Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart popularly known as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was the child prodigy par excellence, playing songs on the harpsichord at four years old and composing simple music at five.

At the age of 14, Aravind Chithambaram became a chess champion is a Grand Master and is frequently addressed as the “next Vishwanathan Anand”.

Aravind ranked 1079 in the world and ranked 12 in the under-16 category. He became the Grand Master in April 2015 and the International Master in 2014.

What we need to keep in mind is that Manipur too has child prodigy par excellence in many fields.

Please stop bullying our young talents as it disturbed them a lot besides discouraging them.

Instead of bullying them the need of the hour is to encourage them .
