State Workshop On Strengthering Health Emergency Preparedness Plans
A two day State workshop on strengthening Emergency Health Preparedness was organised by Sphere India with support from Relief and Disaster Management Department, Government of Manipur and Directorate of Health Services, Manipur and technical inputs and support from WHO, DFY, HI at Imphal.
45 participants attended the workshop including Govt. Health and Disaster Management Officers, Inter Agency Groups (IAG)- Manipur, Red Cross, Indian Medical Association and Hospitals.
The participants were sensitized to establish and improve the Review and Monitoring mechanisms for State And District Health Preparedness Plans and need for an updated plan in the coming 3-4 months.
Shri. AK Singha, Commissioner, Relief and Disaster Management Department, Government of Manipur present in the Inaugural session ensured that the preparedness planning process will be completed in the next 3-4 months.
