Gaan ngai festival was celebrated in Imphal head post office complex where postal director invited the orphan kids from Children Home, Tera Bazar in the function, on this occasion Shri Vinod Kumar Director Manipur honoured star postal officials by presenting appreciations certificates. He said it is really important to recognise the dedication and efforts put in by his staff in order to motivate other staff as well as to keep a healthy tradition of maintaining excellence in all tasks.
Shri Kumar appreciated the hard work of Star performers and mentioned that some of them have stood out for their exceptional service to the public as well as to the office tasks. Ms Homeshori Devi In-Charge Philately Bureau Imphal HPO was given appreciation for her contribution in promotion of philately among young students and organisation of IMPEX 2015. Ms Rebecca was presented appreciation for making good efforts in fields of business development and BD. Shri Kumar intimated that in today scenario department is going through a transit period and motivation of staff is the key to get tasks completed in prescribed manner and on time.

Tha Gandhi ME got appreciation for procuring first ever direct post and media post business while Suranjoy singh was honoured for application of his effective mail operations techniques which has resulted in better delivery performance in Manipur. Md Riyaz was also honoured for his record making performance in areas of complaints by bringing no of COD complaints to ZERO.
He has created another record by getting maximum numbers of Rural life insurance policies in one single village. On the other side shri Hemjit singh for proper office management, Shri Atom Karmbir singh was given appreciation for handling multiple tasks effectively and Shri L. Ranjan Postal Assistant, Imphal HO for his excellent Counter services and soft skills in handling customers which brings goodwill from public.
In the function, children were given notebooks and Stamp Stock books. They also gave some performances in front of the postal staff and had a great time during the programme. Shri Vinod Kumar, Director (Posts) Manipur invited these children in his office in a gesture to spread happiness among orphan kids. The director wished all orphan children a bright future while advised them to work very hard as it is the only key to success.
Shri Karmabir managed the stage and called each one to communicate their feelings. With his magical voice Th. Gandhi impressed the gathering all enjoyed happy moments by shaking leg with small children. Director called each staff member to the stage and cited their valuable contribution in official work and presented with Appreciation Letters and stole the hearts of all in his magical style. He said that appreciation is the best method to motivate staff members. After the function, all children enjoyed good food and gifts from staff of postal department.
