Staff Selection Commission (SSC) woos youths from North East
The Telegraph | Guwahati, Dec. 1:
Free application forms, a monthlong radio campaign and a regional website — the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going the extra mile to woo youths from the remote and troubled parts of the Northeast for recruitment in the central armed police forces.
It will recruit 2,994 constables and riflemen from the Northeast during 2013, advertisements for which will be published on December 15. Arunachal Pradesh has the maximum number of vacancies with 879 posts, followed by Assam (552), Nagaland (373), Tripura (330), Meghalaya (301), Mizoram (290) and Manipur (269).
