ICSSR NATIONAL SEMINAR
ON
URBANIZATION: PATH AND PATTERN IN NORTHEAST INDIA
Two day national seminar on Urbanization: Path and pattern in Northeast India will be held in Sikkim University during 23-24 November 2018.
The seminar is sponsored by ICSSR, New Delhi and jointly organized by the Department of Economics, Sikkim University, Gangtok and the Centre for North East Studies and Policy Research, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
The seminar will serve as a platform where scholars, academicians and practitioners discuss various dimensions of urbanization given below.
1. Trends in urbanization in Northeast India;
2. Issues of urban governance;
3. Rural-urban migration and urbanization;
4. Environmental impact of urbanization;
5. Urban infrastructure, public service delivery and popular politics
6. Smart cities
Full paper (approx. 3000 to 8000 words in Microsoft Word file, APA style of referencing and end note system) may be submitted on or before September 30, 2018 to

Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed and decision will be notified in the first week of October, 2018
Local hospitality and travelling allowances will be provided for the selected paper contributors as per university/ICSSR rules.
