Restore Academic Activity to the Educational Institutions: FEGOCTA
14th September 2014
120 /FEGOCTA-2014
Federation of Government College Teachers’ Associations, Manipur (FEGOCTA) is seriously concerned about the indefinite closure of the educational institutions in the state. There is Semester system of only six months duration in the colleges which are under Manipur University.
FEGOCTA fears that indefinite closure of educational institutions will threaten the completion of the courses/syllabus and semester examinations starting from the first week of December, 2014 in the colleges.
FEGOCTA appeals to the government of Manipur to reconsider the indefinite closure of the educational institutions and restore academic activity at the earliest keeping in mind the interests of the students at large.
The government should take up appropriate steps for amicable solution for immediate opening of the educational institutions.
FEGOCTA also appeals to the government and all the concerned not to use educational institutions and students who will be future pillars of the nation.
(Dr. N. Somorendro Singh)
General Secretary, FEGOCTA
