Resign On Moral Ground And Revoke The Suspension
28 February 2016
Ref. No.68ad EX5/2016 Date 28/2/2016
Deputy C.M of Manipur, Gaikhangam, who holds the charge of the Home Minister, should take the moral responsibility and resign over the acting on the behest of one community.
Earlier, He himself clarified on the floor of assembly that the police personnel had not manhandled, arrested or assaulted the Naga Student Federation (NSF) leaders. Then, why the home department suspend those commandos on the following days? Is it his communal politics?
The Hon’ble, C.M Shri Okram Ibobi must take immediate against the communal leader and rescind 5 Manipur Police Personals. It is his vote bank politics made 5 commandos the scapegoat, though they have done nothing against the normal duty.
If such trend of suspending the Manipur Police for the normal frisking continue, then, what will be happened to the law and order situation of the state?
No such action has taken against Manipur Police Commandos when they were abducting, assaulting and looting, a muslim businessman, of Rs 6 lakh on last October on the heart of Imphal City.
Why there is a special treatment on one community?
Is it unlawful to frisk them? The government should clarify on its stand on the issue at the earliest or else the police department should stop all frisking and checking in the State.
